Underneath We Are developed from the mind of Adelaide based portrait photographer and artist, Amy D Herrmann. With a defiantly determined personality, Amy D aims to set in motion a change in women's thinking toward their own bodies and those around them. She began a bold journey to not only photograph 100 women and gender diverse people, but to give them the ability to summon their inner confidence and to see that underneath all of the societal ideals that have been created for them, these people can feel confident about the bodies that have become hidden beneath their clothing.

Robyn joined the team as Amy's right-hand lady in June 2015. With her own journey through raising three children, fluctuating weight patterns and all the wonderful things that life throws at your body, to give it its ever changing appearance, Robyn has become an essential member of the projects team. Assisting at each and every shoot alongside Amy, Robyn has also become a photographic assistant, a counsellor, a confidence booster, a life coach and a listening ear to each and every person photographed.
